Lesson 1

Susan is a mid-lifer with a variety of interests.  She first came to Alexander to improve her dance practice (Argentine Tango) and found that learning a new way to move was helpful in other activities, such gardening, housework and simply walking the dogs.  She begins this lesson with a scan of her stance to make sure that legs and feet are grounded without being locked, and that the upper body, neck and head orient up.  The walking sequence helps develop an awareness  of freely moving legs for dancing, and results in a lightness in everyday walking activities.
